Lawrence Keyes
Lawrence Keyes (Larry)
has over 14 years of project management and consulting experience
serving small businesses, municipal and state government, higher
education, and health care organizations. His areas of specialization
include software development, computer network design and management,
and information systems planning, development, staffing and operations.
Prior to full-time consulting, Mr. Keyes served in several information
systems positions at the University of Vermont. Most recently he was
the Information Systems Analyst/Manager for the Division of Continuing
Education’s Distance Learning Network where he managed systems for four
on-campus sites and three field offices. He developed the Digital Media
Development Laboratory, (now part of the University’s Center for
Teaching and Learning), a state-of-the-art facility for the development
of course material for digital learning.
As president of Microdesign Consulting Inc. since 1998, Mr. Keyes has
concentrated on database development, strategic planning for
information systems, and network management. He served as an interim
Director of Information Systems for the Salzburg Seminar developing a
technology plan for reengineering of network systems to connect the
Seminar’s offices in the U.S. and Austria.
As an application developer, Microdesign Consulting Inc. has designed
and developed multi-user database and communications programs for the
Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, Fletcher Allen Health Care, the
Vermont Secretary of State and the University of Vermont.
Microdesign Consulting Inc. provides outsourced network management for
Vermont Adult Learning and Central Vermont Adult Basic Education.
Larry completed a masters degree in information technology (MSIT) at
the Rochester (NY) Institute of Technology in the spring of 2004. He is
a Microsoft Certified Professional. |
